JH/HS Library Hours:  Monday—Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm

Chick-fil-A Spirit Night! Mark your calendars to come out and support our school by dining at our local Chick-fil-A (Norwalk, on Firestone & 605 fwy.) on Tuesday 10/29 from 12pm – 8pm. Be sure to verbally mention our school when ordering!

Spirit Point Update: There are only 7 days left for our Candy Drive. Current results are: 11th grade: ZERO | 9th grade: 50 Points | 12th grade: 100 Points | 10th grade: 150 Points | 7th grade: 400 Points…. And the 8th Graders are currently in the lead with…. 1,000 Spirit Points from the Candy Drive! Keep it up 8th graders!

Spirit Week is around the corner! We are looking forward to seeing you all dress up and get some gift cards for those who get really inspired on Tuesday -Thursday Dress Up Days!

Spirit Week Decorating starts this week. Students can work with their class to design and paint their banners in the quad on Oct.24th-25th from 2:30pm-5pm. Sunday Oct. 27th will be the last day to decorate on campus from 2pm-6pm.

Spirit Week Name That Tune Contest will be happening next week. Make sure to listen in and call Dr. DYG at the right time! More details to follow.

King and Queen Voting on Tuesday Oct. 29th in the quad during lunch.

Fear Not Fest Candy Drive: We are collecting candy for our Fear Not Fest. HS students bring candy bags to your homeroom teacher and receive 50 spirit points per bag 5-pound bag for your grade; JH students turn into your homeroom teacher; you will receive 1 Dress-Down coupon per 5-pound bag (6 coupons max).

Grizzly Eye Black: Show support for our Grizzly Athletes and buy some Grizzly Eye Black from the seniors. Proceeds will go towards their Senior Trip this Summer!

Watch & Pray Prayer Meeting: Parents are welcome to join us for prayer as we lift the needs of our school, students, parents, and administration to our Heavenly Father. Join us on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:45am in the School of Ministry room next to the Chapel Store. You can also submit prayer requests to watchandpray123@gmail.com

CCCS SCHOOL APP: As we are heading into the 24/25 school year, make sure you update your preferences on the school app so you don’t miss any important notifications. Items to update: Grade(s), School (if moving from Elementary to JH or JH to HS), Sports, Extra-Curricular: Choir, Music, Media/Tech, ASB, etc. Make sure to deselect the old and select the new to stay current on all notifications. No Gum or Sunflower Seeds on Campus:  Please be reminded that gum or sunflower seeds are not allowed on campus before, during or after school.

Cellphone Reminder: JH-HS cellphones must be put away before you go through the red gate/office doors. JH Students, cellphones & airpods must be off and in your locker. HS students your cell phone & airpods must be off and in your backpack. Saturday Schools will be assigned for cellphone violations.  

AbsencesIf you are absent all day or any part of the day you must come to the School Office before school begins to get a Re-admit. You will need a parent note stating why you were absent.

Tardies:  1st period tardies will be issued in the office.  If you are tardy to 1st period you must first go to the School Office to receive your tardy before going to class. In-between class tardies will be issued by your teacher.

FAFSA Launch Update: FAFSA’s new launch date is December 1st. If you begin the FSA ID process now, you will then be notified via email when FAFSA is up. See Mrs. Naaktgeboren if you have any questions.

Important Upcoming Deadlines for Seniors

  • HIU has a free application waiver code HIUBOUND, but you must apply by 10/31/24

  • Biola University and Azusa Pacific Universities early action application deadlines are 11/15/24

  • UC and Cal State applications close November 30
